Health-Care Workers Permanent Residence Pathway

This limited-time pathway is to facilitate the granting of permanent residence for certain refugee claimants who live in Canada and are working in the health care sector during the COVID-19 pandemic

Program eligibility

You may be eligible for permanent residence if:

be a pending or failed refugee claimant living in Canada. Your refugee claim must have been made before March 13, 2020.
have been issued a work permit after you made your refugee claim.
have the required work experience in specific jobs in Canada’s health-care sector.
be admissible to Canada
